At NPS Hosur Road, teachers participated in an engaging professional development session on Assertive Communication, as part of the Educators’ Development Programme, designed to strengthen confident, respectful, and solution-focused interactions within the school community. Through storytelling, role plays, collaborative activities, and real-life school scenarios, educators explored the differences between passive, aggressive, and assertive communication. The workshop equipped teachers with practical strategies to set clear boundaries, manage challenging conversations, and communicate with empathy and professionalism while preserving the dignity of students, parents, colleagues, and school leaders. As part of the Educators’ Development Programme, which aims towards continuous commitment to nurturing safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environments, NPS Hosur Road conducted an insightful professional development session on Behaviour Management. The workshop equipped teachers with practical strategies to manage classroom behaviour while safeguarding every child’s self-esteem and sense of belonging. Through reflective discussions, case studies, collaborative activities, and real-life classroom scenarios, educators explored the difference between punishment and logical consequences, and learnt to respond to student behaviour with consistency, empathy, and fairness. The session reinforced the importance of positive relationships, restorative practices, and proactive classroom management, empowering teachers to foster responsible behaviour, emotional well-being, and a positive culture where every student feels valued and supported.
