Vision Screening Camp at National Public School, Hosur Road, Bengaluru
At National Public School, Hosur Road, Bengaluru, we believe that healthy learners are successful learners. As part of our commitment to the holistic well-being of every child and also in line with CBSE's emphasis on annual student health check-ups, a Vision Screening Camp was organised for students of Grades 2 to 6 to promote early detection of vision-related concerns and raise awareness about the importance of eye health.
The screening was conducted using the Plusoptix Pediatric Vision Screener - a certified, child-friendly, touch-free vision screening device that performs quick, accurate, and non-invasive assessments from a distance of approximately one metre. The entire process was hygienic, comfortable, required no eye drops, and allowed every child to be screened with ease.
With the increasing incidence of myopia (short-sightedness) among school-age children due to changing lifestyles and prolonged screen exposure, regular vision screening plays a crucial role in identifying potential concerns before they affect a child's academic performance, confidence and overall development.
At National Public School, Hosur Road, we remain committed to providing a safe, caring and future-ready learning environment where academic excellence goes hand in hand with student health and well-being. Initiatives such as these reflect our unwavering focus on nurturing every child's potential - inside and outside the classroom.
Healthy Eyes. Confident Learners. Brighter Futures.
