Celebrating Ganesha: Wisdom, Respect and Gratitude

The Ganesh Chaturthi Assembly by students of Garde 2 at NPS Hosur Road was a beautifully curated celebration that blended devotion, creativity and meaningful life lessons. Dressed in vibrant traditional attire, our young presenters brought the spirit of the festival alive with confidence, enthusiasm and charm.

The assembly began with a soulful invocation and an inspiring thought for the day, setting a reflective tone for the celebrations. This was followed by an engaging skit that beautifully portrayed the story of Ganesha going around his parents, Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, considering them to be his entire world. The story brought alive the timeless values of wisdom, love and respect for parents in a simple and memorable way.

An energetic dance performance added excitement to the celebration, while an interesting speech explored the significance of Ganesha’s distinctive features. From his large ears that remind us to listen carefully, to his small eyes that teach us to focus, and Ganesha’s mouse teaches us to remain humble and remember that even the smallest among us can do great things.

The teacher’s address further enriched the assembly with an important message about caring for our environment and encouraged use of eco-friendly clay idols. The children were reminded that Ganesha, symbolically born from the earth, returns to the earth, making it our responsibility to celebrate in harmony with nature.

Through their thoughtful presentation, lively performances and confident participation, the young students demonstrated that festivals are not merely occasions for celebration, but also opportunities to learn, reflect and live our values.
